A word of caution
Tourism is the single largest industry in terms of income in Bali and it is very easy to get overwhelmed and scammed if you don’t know your way around. It is highly recommended that you have prior transfers and bookings for most of your trip to have peace of mind
Best time to visit
Bali can get very crowded in August and September and again at Christmas and New Year. Outside these peak seasons, Bali can be surprisingly quiet from Feb-May and good discounts on accommodation are often available
Special note: Bali has become famous for its large collection of private villas for rent, complete with staff and top-class levels of service. The range and prices vary according to quality and type, but overall the prices for villas are much cheaper than even corresponding types in India
Planning your trip
A trip to Bali can easily be anywhere from 6-9 days for a general trip taking in the sights and sounds of the islands to longer trips for more specific objectives like diving, surfing, trekking, etc.
There is a huge range of options in Bali from temples to beaches and adventure to night clubs for all kinds of travellers. Whether you are on your first honeymoon or second, or looking for a week of relaxation with your family or even looking for a trip with friends to let some serious hair down, Bali has enough and more for all these types of trips.
