A word of caution: Tourism is the single largest industry in terms of income in Bali and it is very easy to get overwhelmed and scammed if you don’t know your way around. It is highly recommended that you have prior transfers and bookings for most of your trip to have peace of mind

Bali can get very crowded in August and September and again at Christmas and New Year. Outside these peak seasons, Bali can be surprisingly quiet from Feb-May and good discounts on accommodation are often available

Special note: Bali has become famous for its large collection of private villas for rent, complete with staff and top-class levels of service. The range and prices vary according to quality and type, but overall the prices for villas are much cheaper than even corresponding types in India
